A Vivo handset with model number V2142 has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking site. An IMEI database listing of the phone that was spotted in September revealed that it may launch with the Vivo Y75 5G moniker.
The Vivo V2142’s Geekbench listing shows that it is powered by a MediaTek MT6833V/ZA chip, which is nothing but the Dimensity 700 SoC. It has six CPU cores running at 2.0GHz and the remaining two CPU cores clocking at 2.0GHz. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM, which indicates that the handset may ship with at least 128 GB of storage.
The Geekbench listing suggests that the V2142 midranger may come preinstalled with the latest Android 12 OS. The handset scored 544 in the single-core test of Geekbench 5 and 1675 in its multi-core test. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the other specs of the device.
The Vivo Y75 5G moniker suggests that it will be positioned lower than the Vivo Y76 5G, which debut in Malaysia last month. The Y76 has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.
The Dimensity 810 SoC powered Vivo Y76 5G ships with 8 GB of RAM, 4 GB of extended RAM, and 128 GB of built-in storage. It runs on FunTouch OS 12 flavored Android 11. It has a 4,100mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. For security, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is available with a price tag of MYR 1,299 ($307) in Malaysia.
