As scheduled, Vivo has officially announced the brand new Vivo Y76 5G smartphone in the Malaysian market where the phone carries an affordable launch price of just RM1,299 (US$310).
The Vivo Y76 5G builds around a 6.58” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 460 nits peak brightness, as well as a 16 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video calls. It doesn’t come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, but instead features a side-mounted scanner.
On the rear side, the Vivo Y76 5G sports a rectangular camera bump that houses a trio of cameras that include a 50 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels macro and bokeh lens. On top of that, there’s also a LED flash to help with low-light photography too.
Unlike the recently announced Vivo Y76s 5G which was powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, the Vivo Y76 5G settles with a slightly toned-down Dimensity 700 chipset instead. This will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the Vivo Y76 5G is backed by a respectable 4,100mAh battery which carries support for 44W fast-charging. Other than that, it also brings along a 3.5mm headphone jack and is shipped with Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y76 5G is available in both Midnight Space and Cosmic Aurora colorways. While not officially confirmed, but this device is also expected to launch in some other South-East Asian markets in the near future.
