Vivo Y9s Debuts as Rebranded Vivo S1 Pro in China

Last month, Vivo had launched the Vivo S1 Pro smartphone in Southeast Asian markets like Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The same phone made its way to Russia as Vivo V17. Today, the Chinese manufacturer launched the same smartphone in China as Vivo Y9s.

Vivo Y9s Price and Availability

The Vivo Y9s is now available for pre-orders through the official Vivo China online store with a price tag of 1,998 Yuan ($284). The handset is listed in three colors such as Glazed Black, Nebula Blue and Symphony of Light. The sales of the phone will begin on Dec. 6 in the home market.

Vivo Y9s Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y9s has a 6.38-inch S-AMOLED full HD+ display that is integrated with a fingerprint sensor. With 19.5:9 aspect ratio display, the Vivo Y9s promises a screen space of 90 percent. The Snapdragon 665 chipset along with 8 GB of RAM powers the smartphone. The device includes an inbuilt storage of 128 GB and there is a microSD card slot onboard for more storage.

The FunTouch OS 9 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the Vivo Y9s. It has a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel. Placed on its back is a diamond-patterned module with a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 lens, an 8-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth senor. The Vivo Y9s includes a 4,500mAh battery that offers 18W dual-engine fast charging through USB-C.
