HMD Global-controlled Nokia recently unveiled the Nokia 6 smartphone in China, cramming features inside the device that places it in the mid-budget category. The Nokia 6 went up for sale in China via flash sale exclusively on Jingdong a couple of days back but there has been no word on when it would be available outside of China. However, we may not need to wait for that information for long as the Nokia 6 is being offered up for purchase in the Philippines.
Popular Philippine-based online retailer Lazada has listed the Nokia 6 on its website for sale at a price of Php 18590, slightly higher than what the device was offered in China. The sales starts today at 12 noon Philippine time and it comes with an offer of free shipping. Interestingly, the phone is available only in white color, something we have never seen before now. The Nokia 6 was launched in black color only option in China but we recall the device did appear on TENAA weeks back in silver color.
The Nokia 6 is proving to be a very popular device, perhaps because of its rugged design and Nokia’s durability track record. The white version comes with the same 5.5-inch 1080p display and is also powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset which is backed by 4GB of RAM. The smartphone also pack 64GB of expandable storage as well as a 16MP rear camera with LED flash. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera onboard and keeping the lights on is a generous 3,000mAh battery. It started at 1999 Yuan ($245) in China.
