Recently, there was rumors on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series smartphones will be among the first smartphones in the market to launch with the forthcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset.
Now, a new rumor out of China apparently claimed that the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones could debut on December 12th next month. Also, the new smartphone series is expected to include at least two models, including the vanilla Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X.
Unlike the Xiaomi 12 which is likely to debut with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, recent reports had revealed that the Xiaomi 12X will be arriving with a toned-down Snapdragon 870 chip instead. It is also said to feature a 6.28” OLED display and a 50 megapixels main camera.
As for the Xiaomi 12, there isn’t much information pertaining to the device at the moment. However, there were some rumors which suggested that the phone could arrive with a OLED panel that boasts a sharp 2K display with 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP triple-camera system, as well as 120W fast-charging support.
