Recent reports have revealed that Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro smartphones. According to rumors, the 12S Pro will be available with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 chipsets. A new Xiaomi smartphone with model number 2207122MC has bagged approval from China’s 3C certification platform. There are rumors that this could be the Xiaomi 12S Pro with the Dimensity 9000 chipset.
The 3C listing of the alleged Xiaomi 12S Pro Dimensity 9000 edition reveals that it could be equipped with a 67W fast charger. The 2207122MC model number that has appeared in the 3C listing has been previously spotted in the IMEI database. Unfortunately, these certifications have no other information on the specs of the device.
The SD8+G1 variant of the device is yet to appear in 3C’s database. Past reports have revealed that the model number of the SD8+G1 variant of the device has a 2206122SC model number. However, the device has already bagged CMIIT certification. The vanilla model, Xiaomi 12S, with model number 2206123SC, has also been spotted at CMIIT.
Hopefully, newer reports will provide more details about the Xiaomi 12S series in the coming weeks. At present, there is no word on the launch timeframe for the 12S lineup.
