Xiaomi had already confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series smartphones will be among the first in the world to adopt the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Although the company remains mum on the official launch date of the phones, but past reports have suggested that the launch event could take place on either December 12th or 28th later this month.
Now, fresh information coming from reputable tech blogger Digital Chat Station has claimed that the company will be launching at least three different models including the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X.
While the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro are expectedly powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the Xiaomi 12X is tipped to be a mid-range model that’s powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 platform instead.
What’s interesting is that the Xiaomi 12X is reportedly the most compact smartphone launched by the company in recent years, sporting a petite display size of just 6.28” (when measured diagonally).
