Xiaomi 13 Ultra Launch Likely in April

Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting for the next Ultra-branded flagship phone. The reason behind it is that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was made available in limited quantities outside of China, whereas the Xiaomi 12S Ultra wasn’t released in the global market. Furthermore, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has already confirmed that the next Ultra phone, which is expected to be called the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, will be available in the global market in addition to China. A new leak that has surfaced on Weibo has leaked the launch timeframe, configuration, and price of the device.

According to the tipster, Xiaomi has internally planned to launch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in April this year. The device’s engineering prototype has 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space.

The 13 Ultra is likely that the top variant of the final version of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will come in the same configuration. As far as price is concerned, it is likely to remain the same as its predecessor. To recall, the 12S Ultra was priced at 5,999 Yuan ($886). Hence, it appears that the 13 Ultra might have the same starting price. Unfortunately, the leak has no information on the other specs of the device.

Past reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be equipped with an E6 AMOLED display that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will come preloaded with MIUI 14-based Android 13 in China.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage are likely to be present inside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It will have the same 1-inch Sony IMX989 50-megapixel camera that is available on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The camera module is also expected to feature an improved periscope zoom camera.
