Xiaomi fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Recently, a Xiaomi executive confirmed the handset’s scheduled debut in February. Now, renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has shared a more precise launch timeframe.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra launch timeframe (rumored)
The tipster claims that Xiaomi plans to reveal the Xiaomi 15 Ultra by the end of February. Like the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, the Ultra edition will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The handset is expected to face competition from the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Vivo X200 Ultra, which are also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
Leaked information suggests that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a 2K resolution OLED display with a micro-quad-curved design. The screen will support a 120Hz refresh rate and incorporate an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone will run on Android 15 and HyperOS 2.
Powering the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Edition flagship platform, paired with a substantial 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging. It is also expected to support 50W wireless charging.
When it comes to imaging capabilities, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to arrive with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of 100x AI hybrid zoom. This lens is part of a quad-camera setup that includes a 1-inch Sony LYT 900 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens using the Samsung JN5 sensor.
Reports also suggest that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come in two variants. The standard model will support Tiantong satellite communication, while the high-end version will offer both Tiantong satellite communication and Beidou satellite messaging capabilities. As far as the global launch is concerned, it may debut in March 2025.
