Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is doing a lot to make sure that it gets a huge chunk of the smartphone market outside China. After successively renewing the technology patent interaction with Nokia and Microsoft, Xiaomi also announced a global technology licensing agreement with NTT Docomo of Japan, including NTT Docomo’s patents for wireless communication standards. As NTT Docomo has contributed a lot to the next 5G networking technology specification, Xiaomi signed a technical standard patent cooperation agreement with NTT Docomo, which means that there will be more layout development in the future 5G network application.
However, cooperation with the Japanese carrier in technical patent standards means that Xiaomi will expand the Japanese market next. Although there is no specific news at present, however, when Xiaomi was listed in Hong Kong, it said that it will actively deploy global market development strategies in the future. It is expected to also look at opportunities for development in the Japanese market.
NTT Docomo has invested a lot in 5G networking applications and has made a lot of contributions in the 5G network technology specification.
