The ASUS ROG Phone 2 has recently launched as the world’s first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855+ Plus which is an overclocked version of the regular Snapdragon 855. Xiaomi has recently confirmed that it will be launching the Black Shark 2 Pro with Snapdragon 855+ on July 30. Couple of days ahead of the launch, the Chinese manufacturer has started reservations of the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone on multiple e-commerce platforms in China such as online store, JD.com.

The Jingdong Mall listing of the Black Shark 2 Pro carries a placeholder pricing of 8888 Yuan. The listing also confirms that the phone will be equipped with DC dimming 2.0. There are no other details on the specs of the phone on JD.

Recently, the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform with 12 GB of Ram and Android 9 Pie OS. The handset had scored 3632 and 11304 points respectively in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench.

The Black Shark 2 Pro is expected to come with few upgraded features over the Black Shark 2 gaming phone that was announced in March this year. Probably, the only major difference could be the inclusion of SD855+ SoC that works at 2.96GHz with improved GPU performance over the 2.84GHz SD855. The smartphone is expected to offer better performance than the recently announced ROG Phone 2. More details of the Black Shark 2 Pro are expected to be revealed officially ahead of its launch date.
