Following up with it’s high profile global launch event last week, Xiaomi now returns to it’s home market with the launch of the new Xiaomi Civi smartphone that’s targeted towards the mid-range segment.
Just like the recently announced Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, the Xiaomi Civi is a design-centric smartphone that features a sleek and elegant design which has an impressive slim profile of just 6.98 mm. Most importantly, it’s also one of the lightest phone in the market, weighing just 166 grams.
The Xiaomi Civi sports a 6.55” OLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, HDR10 support, as well as a 32 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calls.
On the rear side of the phone, it comes with a rather slim camera module for it’s triple-cam setup which comprises of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 5 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up shots.
At the helm, the Xiaomi Civi is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G chipset which is also used in the new Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE that was launched in the global market. This will be coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
Keeping it’s lights on is none other than a 4,500mAh battery that carries support for a blazing-fast 55W wired charging solution. On the software side of things, the device is shipped with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Xiaomi Civi is priced at 2,799 Yuan (US$433), 3,099 Yuan (US$480) and 3,399 Yuan (US$526) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB models.
