Ever since the Redmi Note series was introduced in back 2014, the smartphone series has quickly became one of the best-selling devices for the Chinese smartphone maker.
It’s success is largely due to it’s affordable pricing despite packing a slew of impressive specs, which make them one of the most highly sought-after smartphones in the budget segment – especially in China and India.
Today, Xiaomi has revealed that the company has sold more than 100 million smartphones from the Redmi Note line globally. The Redmi Note 7 series alone, had achieved a collective sales of more than 20 million worldwide as well.
Every year, Xiaomi introduces significant upgrades to their Redmi Note devices, while maintaining their affordability at the same time. In their latest Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro iteration, the latter emerged as one of the first in the world to sport a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor.
The popularity of the Redmi Note 8 series remain apparent as more than 300,000 Redmi Note 8 Pro devices were sold during the debut sale in China.
