Xiaomi Launching Brand New Selfie Phone on November 2, Could it be Mi Note 3?

In June, the rumor mill had claimed that Xiaomi would be introducing a new series of smartphones to take on the likes of Oppo and Vivo in offline markets. However, it did not come true. Today, Redmi India has tweeted that claims that a brand series of smartphones will be introduced on November 2.

The hashtag #YourBestSelfie suggests that it will be a selfie-centric smartphone. Oppo and Vivo have launched several selfie-centric phones in India and marketed them aggressively offline. Xiaomi has recently entered the offline markets in India and it appears that it is getting ready to rival Oppo and Vivo by launching its own line of selfie-focused phones.

Some rumors claim that Xiaomi will unveil Mi Note 3 phone in India because the company has never launched Mi Note series phones in India. The Mi Note 3 was launched alongside the Mi MIX 2 in China in the previous month. It is fitted with 16-megapixel selfie camera and AI onboard, it can beautify selfie shots in real-time.

Unlike predecessor Mi Note phones that came with flagship specs, the Mi Note 3 is an upper mid-range phone that includes a 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 660 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. The rear side of the phone features a pair of 12-megapixel sensors that is enabled with features like 4x OIS and 2x optical zoom. It includes a 3,500mAh battery.
