If you still remember, the company announced during New Year’s Day that the company had sold more than 350,000 units of the Mi 11 smartphone within a short span of just 5 minutes into its debut sale. Now, this figure had rose to more than half a million in the Chinese market alone.

Besides being the first flagship in the world to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is also the company’s first smartphone that comes with a special variant which will be shipped without a charger.

While the majority still opted for the variant that brings along a bundled charger, but there are actually more than 20,000 consumers who’re willing to sacrifice the bundled charger for environmental cause – even though both variants are priced similarly during the debut sale.

As of now, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is currently limited only to the Chinese market. However, the device is expected to be launched globally during the first-quarter of the year since it had already been certified by various regulatory bodies including Singapore’ IMDA.

In related news, its higher-end Mi 11 Pro model is rumored to launch after the Chinese Lunar New Year in February.
