The first smartphone to come preloaded with MIUI 9 will be the Xiaomi Mi 5X that will debut on Wednesday. The Chinese firm has already confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship phone and the Redmi Note 4X would be the first smartphones to get the MIUI 9 update. Fresh information that has appeared on Weibo has revealed that the names of the second batch of Xiaomi phones that will be getting the MIUI 9 update.
The above Weibo post from a tipster reveals that the Xiaomi MI 5, Xiaomi Mi MIX and Xiaomi Mi Note 2 are included in the second batch of phones that will be getting the MUI 9 update. It seems that the other Xiaomi phones will be gradually receiving the MIUI 9.
Through the closed beta of MIUI 9, it has been found that all the Xiaomi smartphones and tablets will be getting the update. Even older phones like Xiaomi Mi 2 and Mi 2S are going to receive the update. The only phone that will not be blessed with MIUI 9 has Xiaomi Mi 1 probably because of low number of users and incompatible hardware.
