Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be debuting a new smartphone in China on April 25. The appearance of Xiaomi Mi 6X has suggested that the company may make it official through the upcoming launch event. The new firmware files that belong to the Mi 6X has revealed a couple of key specs of the phone.
The new firmware files reveal that the Snapdragon 660 chipset will be powering the phone. However, the 2.2 GHz octa-core processor will be under-clocked to function at 2.0 GHz. For photography, it will include 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 with f/1.8 aperture + 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 with f/1.8 aperture dual camera setup. For snapping selfies, it will be fitted with 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo that will be skinned with the latest version of MIUI 9. It will include a microSD card for additional storage. Also, the firmware files confirm that it will be arriving with an IPS LCD screen. It won’t be supporting NFC, but the manufacturer the IR Blaster function on it.
