Xiaomi Mi 7 Rumored to House 6-inch OLED Display, Snapdragon 845

A leaked information shared on Weibo suggests that Xiaomi is working on releasing the successor of Xiaomi Mi 7 earlier in 2018. It is expected to launch in Q1 next year and it is rumored to arrive with a 6-inch OLED screen and Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Recent reports have revealed that some of the rumored 2018 flagship phones such as Galaxy S9 and LG G7 would be debuting in Q1 next year. It appears that Xiaomi Mi 7 too would join these devices in the Q1 2018.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is rumored to arrive with a 6-inch OLED display that is supplied by Samsung. Since the smartphone is speculated to house a large display, there is a possibility that it may come with a rear-facing fingerprint reader or it may be embedded under the display.

Talking about the display of the phone, since all the Mi series flagships from the past couple of years have featured displays of around 5-inches, some claim that the Mi 7 may not feature a 6-inch display. However, there is a possibility that the Mi 7 may sport a full-screen display and the size of the device would be still similar to the Mi 6 and Mi 5 smartphones.

The Snapdragon 845 driven Mi 7 is speculated to come in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants. Like Mi 6, it is also speculated to house a dual camera module featuring a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens.
