Xiaomi had announced the Mi 8 Youth Edition (also known as Mi 8 Lite) in September in China. At the launch, the Chinese manufacturer had confirmed that the phone would be arriving in three variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has confirmed the arrival of a new variant for the smartphone that features 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Xiaomi has not disclosed the pricing of the newly announced 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version of the Mi 8 Lite. Currently, the aforementioned three variants of the Mi 8 Lite are selling with respective price tags of 1,399 Yuan, 1,699 Yuan and 1,999 Yuan. It is very likely that the upcoming variant of the Mi 8 Lite would be costing 1,799 Yuan or 1,899 Yuan.’
The Mi 8 Lite is fitted with a notched IPS LCD display of 6.26 inches. The Snapdragon 660 chipset is present under the hood of the device. The 3,350mAh battery available on the phone carries support for 18W fast charging. For photography, the Mi 8 Lite features 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera module. The front notch features a selfie camera of 24-megpaixel. The Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro are the first Xiaomi phones to arrive in color gradient options. The Mi 8 Lite can be bought in color gradient options such as Twilight Gold, Dream Blue and Deep Sea Gray.
