According to reports out of China, a new landing page had been spotted at Xiaomi’s official website which is dedicated to the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro and Mi Mix 4 launch event. This drops some hints that both devices could make their official debut simultaneously during the same launch event.
Although Xiaomi has yet to officially reveal the launch date for both devices, but the rumor mills seem to suggest that they will be announced on September 24th, later this month.
Needless to say, both the Mi 9 Pro and Mi Mix 4 will be able to support 5G connectivity out of the box. This is crucial for the company given that the adoption of 5G smartphones is on a rise within the Chinese market. It’s competitors including Huawei and Vivo, had also geared up their 5G portfolio with the imminent launch of the Mate 30 Pro 5G and Vivo NEX 3 5G respectively.
Besides having support for 5G network, the Mi 9 Pro had also been confirmed to come with the latest Mi Charge Turbo which supports up to 30W wireless charging. The Mi Mix 4 on the other hand, is tipped to arrive with a curved display which supports 2K resolution and have an incredible 108 megapixels main snapper on the back.
For now, it’s unlikely that the Mi Mix 4 will support 40W wireless charging since the technology is still under the testing phase. Therefore, it is more probable that it will sport a similar 30W wireless charging as the Mi 9 Pro.
