Xiaomi Mi 9 SE was announced alongside the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9 Explorer Edition flagship phone. The mid-range Mi 9 SE smartphone has been unveiled as the first Snapdragon 712 chipset.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is fitted with a 5.97-inch S-AMOLED display that carries support for full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It is shielded by Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader. The Snapdragon 712 chipset powers the phone along with 6 GB of RAM. It comes in 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants. There is no external storage slot on the device.
The Mi 9 SE is fitted with a triple camera setup it includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. For capturing selfies, it has a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel. The handset also lacks support for 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone includes a 3,070mAh battery that carries support for 18W fast charging.

The 64 GB and 128 GB editions of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE are respectively priced at 1,999 Yuan ($297) and 2,299 Yuan ($342). Violet, Blue and Gray are the color variants of the Mi 9 SE.
