Xiaomi Mi 9 will be the first triple camera phone from the company. The smartphone is scheduled to go official on Feb. 20 in China. Wang Chuan who is the co-founder of Xiaomi Group has shared three camera samples of the Xiaomi Mi 9. He has confirmed that the triple camera setup of the Mi 9 phone will include a 48-megapixel sensor.
There are conflicting rumors about the camera configuration of the Mi 9. Early reports have claimed that it will include 48-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 3D ToF sensors. However, some rumors have claimed that it will 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 16-megapixel sensors.Wang Chuan said that Mi 9 can shoot at a magnified resolution of 94-megapixel.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 will be featuring a 6.4-inch AMOLED waterdrop notched display that offers an aspect ratio of 19:9 and full HD+ resolution. It will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 855 chipset is expected to power the handset, but it won’t feature Snapdragon X50 LTE modem that supports 5G connectivity. Hence, it will be equipped with Snapdragon X24 LTE modem. It may feature 6 GB of RAM.
For capturing selfies, the handset may house a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor. The Android 9 Pie OS is preloaded on the device. It may come equipped with a 3,500mAh battery that may carry support for 27W fast charging. There is no information available on the pricing of the phone.
