Xiaomi is rumored to be working on Xiaomi Mi Max 2 phablet. Its alleged specs have been surfacing since a past few weeks. Fresh information coming from China suggests that Mi Max 2 may get unveiled as early as next week.
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi 6 flagship phone would be unveiled on April 19. However, newer information suggest that the Chinese firm would be also unveiling the Mi Max 2 phablet on the same day. Previous rumors had hinted that the Mi Max 2 may get unveiled in May this year.
The Snapdragon 625 is present under the hood of the original Mi Max phablet from last year. Leaked information suggest that its successor will be powered by Snapdragon 626 chipset which is an overclocked version of SD 625 chip. There is a possibility that the higher end version of the Mi Max 2 may feature the Snapdragon 660 SoC.
The phablet will continue to sport a 6.44-inch full HD screen and it will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It is pegged to include a 5,000 mAh battery. The standard edition of Mi Max 2 is expected to cost 1,499 Yuan ($217) and the higher end model is pegged to be priced at 1,699 Yuan ($246).
