Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 360-Degree Renders Reveal Massive Screen, Dual Cameras

Fresh 360-degree renders showing the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 have surfaced. It reveals that the smartphone would be arriving a massive display that would almost cover its entire front side.

Last year, Xiaomi astonished its fans and rivals by launching the Xiaomi Mi Mix October with an innovative design featuring a huge display coupled with slimmer bezels. Xiaomi had collaborated with Philippe Starck, a Fresh designer to build the Mi MIX smartphone. In the previous month, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed it would be partnering again with Starck to design the Mi MIX successor. Since then the rumor mill is buzzing on the leaked specs and design of the second-generation Mi MIX.

The 360-degree Mi MIX 2 renders show that it continues to sport the same design as the first-generation smartphone. Apart from the mammoth display, the Mi MIX 2 can be seen sporting dual cameras on its rear side along with a fingerprint scanner.

According to Pan Jiutang, an industry analyst, the Mi MIX 2 may arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to feature the same-sized 6.4-inch screen. However, instead of LCD panel, the company may incorporate a curved AMOLED screen.

Its display is likely to deliver a higher screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. The original phone offers 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is expected to retain ceramic chassis. Rumors also hint that it may house an iris scanner. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is speculated to release in October this year.
