At the launch event of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 in the previous month, the company had announced that apart from the regular version of the phablet the company would be also selling its special edition model that will come with a ceramic unibody chassis. The smartphone will go on sale today in China with a pricing of 4,699 Yuan.
The above screenshot is from the official listing of the Mi MIX 2 on Xiaomi’s site. It will be up for registration from 18:08 PM this evening in China. The smartphone will go on sale on Nov. 11 which happens to be Singles’ Day, the biggest online shopping festival in the world.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 full ceramic variant is the first 8 GB RAM smartphone from the company. It is driven by Snapdragon 835 chipset and comes with an internal storage of 128 GB. As far as design is concerned, it features a 7000-series aluminum chassis and a camera ring that is carved out of 18k gold. It will be available only in white color option.
There is no confirmation on when Xiaomi will be bringing to markets outside of China. Recent reports have revealed that the company is prepping to debut budget-friendly Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones before Nov. 11. It is also expected to unveil the Redmi Note 5 in December.
