Xiaomi MI MIX 2 is one of the most awaited smartphones of this year. Its arrival seems to be drawing near as the company has slashed the pricing of the original Mi MIX. Fresh information suggests that the MI MIX 2 will be debuting on Sept. 12.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is expected to arrive with a larger higher screen-to-body ratio of 95 percent and is expected to support an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is expected to continue with a tri-bezeless design like the original Mi MIX with a thin bezel below the display. It may come with an in-screen fingerprint reader and a cantilever piezoelectric ceramic technology that will replace the conventional earpiece. It is also expected to come in a bright silver color.
The Mi MIX 2 is rumored to be codenamed as Chiron and it is speculated to be driven by Snapdragon 835. A 3,400mAh battery is expected to power it. Its frontside is expected to feature a 5-megapixel OmniVision OV5675 5-megapixel sensor and a Sony IMX386 12-megapixel sensor is expected to arrive as its rear camera.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is expected to come in 2 models. The MI MIX 2 to with 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB of storage is rumored to be available for 3,999 Yuan ($600). Its other model with 8 GB of RAM + 256 GB of storage is rumored to be available for 4,999 Yuan ($750).
