Earlier this week, Xiaomi held a grand event where the company unveiled the next-generations Mi Mix 4 flagship, along with some other exciting products like the Mi Pad 5 series slates.
Following the launch, Xiaomi fans were simply disappointed after several reports suggest that the Mi Mix 4 is unlikely to arrive in the global markets. However, that might not be true after all, as the phone had been spotted on Google Play console today alongside the Mi Pad 5 series tablets.
Since smartphones are required to be certified as Google supported devices before they are able to launch globally with Google Mobile Services (GMS), this is a good sign that the phone is indeed heading to the global market.
If the launch is limited to the Chinese market, there is unlikely a need to be certified since smartphones launched in China are not shipped with GMS. Still, there is a possibility that the Mi Mix 4 is available only for demo purposes instead of commercial availability. Nonetheless, it can still be seen as a sign of hope for it’s global launch.
