Xiaomi has been releasing updated edition of MIUI every year. It has been more than a year since the introduction of MIUI 10. Hence, the company is expected to introduce MIUI 11 this year. At the Xiaomi MIUI Core Experience Annual Meeting, Lin Ming who is leading the product planning department of Xiaomi Internet confirmed that the company has started working on MIUI 11. This indicates that the MIUI 11 is soon going to enter the research and development stage. During the presentation of the MIUI 11, it was revealed that it will be “a new and unique O.S”
The MIUI 11 is expected to come with refreshed system optimization, but there is no information on the new features that will be available on it. Hopefully, the company will release an official statement through its social media channel on its arrival in the near future.
The MIUI has been existing since more than 8 years and over 300 million devices are running on it. In fact, it is one of the oldest ROMs in domestic market. The MIUI 10 from last year is now available on more than 40 Xiaomi and Redmi models. Probably, phones arriving in the second half of the year will come preloaded with MIUI 11.
