Xiaomi Mix 4 debut sale: More than 48,000 units sold in a minute

Following it’s official launch last week, the hotly anticipated Xiaomi Mix 4 finally went for it’s debut sale in the Chinese market earlier this morning. Unsurprisingly, the new Mix 4 was met by overwhelming demand from the Chinese consumers, which ended up with the phone being sold out shortly after the it’s first sale commenced.

Xiaomi Mix 4 First Sale Record

According to Xiaomi, the total revenue generated from the sale of Xiaomi Mix 4 during the first minute amounts to a staggering 3 billion Yuan. If you do the math, this equates to around 48,000 – 60,000 units sold during the first minute of sale.

The impressive sale record came shortly after the company’s president Lu Weibing came forward to clarify the reasons behind the Xiaomi Mix 4’s supply shortage, attributing them to external factors like the limited supply of the new Snapdragon 888+ chipset as well as the significantly lower yield rate of it’s ceramic back panel.

It therefore remains as a mystery whether the Xiaomi Mix 4 will be heading to the global market, even though it’s recent appearance on Google Play Console seems to suggest the possibility of a global launch.

As a quick recap, the Xiaomi Mix 4 sports a 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888+, 108MP triple-cam setup, 20MP selfie camera, 4,500mAh battery, as well as 120W fast-wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
