According to rumors, Xiaomi is working on its foldable phone with a flip-style design. Although the brand has not revealed the name of the device, it is said that it could be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip when it debuts in the market. Today, leaker Digital Chat Station shared some details about an upcoming clamshell phone.
Xiaomi Mix Flip specifications
It can be said based on the leaked information shared by DCS that the Xiaomi Mix Flip may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In addition, the leak reveals that the device will feature a 4,800mAh / 4,900mAh battery, which indicates that it may arrive with the largest battery seen on a flip-style foldable phone.
He added that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will have a fairly large outer display, which could be similar to the big external screen available on the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. The screen will have a dual punch-hole for housing a dual-camera system.
Speculations are rife that the camera setup will include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support. In addition, it will have a telephoto camera for support for 3x optical zooming. Previous reports claimed that the device will have support for satellite connectivity, but newer leaks claim that it will lack support for it. The other details of the device are yet to be revealed.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to debut in China in the second quarter of this year. The brand is also expected to release the device in the global market. The device will face competition from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is expected to debut in July of this year.
