It has been quite some time since Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi stun the Android community with their high-ends smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi-2. Today however, we’re finally hearing rumors that the mobile manufacturer will be unveiling a new smartphone dubbed as the Xiaomi Red Rice this coming October. What we know is that the Xiaomi Red Rice will be a budget handset which cost only about $130. Although the device comes with a cheap price tag, but it doesn’t seems to compromise on its specifications as well.
According to sources, the Xiaomi Red Rice will be packed with a 4.7-inch 720p display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8 megapixels rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, 2,000mAh battery, 8GB internal storage as well as MIUI v5 running in the background. What’s even better is that the device will be coming with dual-SIM support, which is vital for developing countries.
We’re still not sure about the release date for the Xiaomi Red Rice and we don’t expect it to be launched within this quarter. Let’s hope for more leaks and rumors for the device in the next few weeks!
