Xiaomi Redmi 2 finally hits 13 million sales mark

Xiaomi Redmi 2The Xiaomi Redmi 2 and 2A which was unveiled back in January this year had apparently hit the 13 million sales mark according to Lin Bin, Xiaomi’s president.

The Redmi 2 is the successor of the infamous Redmi handset announced last year. Like its predecessor, the Redmi 2 has also been highly sought after across various market. This year however, the Chinese company also announced the 2A hadset – a watered down version of the Redmi 2 – which fetch a price tag of just $80 in the Chinese market.

So far, the Redmi 2 is no doubt the most popular budget handset in the market today.
