In the previous month, what appeared to be the prototype of Xiaomi Redmi 6 had surfaced in the previous month. The handset did not feature MIUI 9 skin and the placement of the notch also appeared a bit weird. Today, fresh photos of the real Redmi 6 have cropped on Weibo. The handset appears very similar to the M1805D1SE smartphone that was certified by TENAA just before the launch of Mi 8 series.
The new image confirms that the Redmi 6 will be coming with a notched display design. Apart from the thick bottom bezel, the other bezels appear quite thin. The backside of the phone has a dual camera setup with an LED flash placed between the two sensors. The fingerprint scanner is also present on the rear. Like the other Redmi phones, the handset has a metallic rear but the portions housing the top and bottom bezels are made out of plastic.
The TENAA listing of M1805D1SE has revealed that it has a 5.99-inch FHD+ display, 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, 3,900mAh battery, 5-megapixel selfie camera, up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage
Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be debuting the Redmi 6 series on June 12 in China. The series is expected to include smartphones like Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro/Plus and Redmi 6A.
