Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup are quite famous since they feature Redmi smartphones with affordable price tags. It appears that the Chinese manufacturer is getting ready to launch yet another budget-friendly smartphone since a new handset with model number M1093C3GG with “Redmi Go” name has been certified by IMDA authority in Singapore.
Xiaomi has never launched an Android Go phone before. However, the newly spotted Redmi Go phone could be its first Android Go smartphone. The IMDA filing of the phone has no details on its specifications. Since it is expected to go official as an Android Go smartphone, it may come equipped with 1 GB of RAM.
The M1093C3GG model number has been also certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) bodies in the recent weeks. The EEC certification of the phone did not reveal any information on the phone. However, through FCC documents it has been revealed that it will be carry support for dual SIM, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 5.0. As far as the launch date of the smartphone is concerned, the handset is expected to go official at the beginning of the coming year.
Xiaomi will be announcing the Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone on Dec. 24 in China. It is likely that the company may start testing on the rumored Redmi Go phone after the arrival of the Mi Play handset.
