Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has begun receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update

According to the folks at Gizchina, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has begun receiving the highly anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update with Greece being one of the first to enjoy this treat. Along with the update also comes with the Android security patches for the month of July. The whole update itself weighs around 1.3GB so do make sure you’re connected to the WiFi before embarking on the update process.

For those who’d yet to receive the update notification, you can also try your luck by heading down to Settings> About Phone> Check for update. Currently, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs on the MIUI 8.5 – but is expected to be updated to MIUI 9 on August 11th tomorrow.
