A Xiaomi smartphone with model number MDT6 has appeared on TENAA. The specifications of the MDT6 suggests that it could be the Redmi Note 5A. The handset measures 153.3 x 76.3 x 7.31 mm and its weight is 150.23 grams.
The alleged Redmi Note 5 has a 5.5-inch TFT screen that produces an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is driven by a 1.4 GHz processor. This could be the Snapdragon 425 chipset. It features 2 GB of RAM and it comes with a native storage of 16 GB. It will also feature a microSD card slot. It is preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS overlaid with MUI 8 skin.
The images that have appeared on TENAA suggests that the alleged Redmi Note 5A does not feature a fingerprint scanner. A 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash will be present on the purported Redmi Note 5A. A 5-megapixel selfie snapper would be present on the budget phablet.
It will be packed with a 3,000mAh battery and it will carry support for 4G LTE connectivity. It will be coming in color choices like Black, Gold, Rose Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray and Silver. Previous reports have revealed that it would be available with a pricing of $999. Rumors also hint that the Redmi Note 5A would be debuting on Aug. 21.
