On the official Weibo account of Xiaomi Company, Xiaomi has released a new teaser for an upcoming product. The teaser image features a multicolored āSā alphabet. The Redmi S2 has recently received TENNA and 3C certifications in China which suggests that Xiaomi could be teasing the arrival of this new phone. The letter S also hints that the Chinese company could be prepping up to launch the rumored Surge S2 in-house chipset.
If the above poster hints the arrival of Redmi S2, the Chinese manufacturer could have used its Redmi Weibo account. However, since it has used the Xiaomi Company Weibo account, Xiaomi fans are confused as to what this mysterious product could be.
The TENAA listing of Redmi S2 has revealed that it features 5.99-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 625, 2 GB / 3 GB / 4 GB RAM, 16 GB/ 32 GB/ 64 GB storage, MIUI 9 based Android 8.1 Oreo and 3,000mAh battery.

It is speculated to feature 2.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A73 CPU + 1.8 GHz quad-core Cortex A53 CPU, Mali G71MP8 GPU, UFS 2.1 and LPDDR4. Its performance could be similar to Kirin 960 SoC by Huawei.
