ZTE Axon 20 5G heads to the global market

Back in September this year, ZTE launches the Axon 20 5G which made its name as the first smartphone in the world to feature the headline-grabbing under-display camera.

Since its launch, the ZTE Axon 20 5G is available only in the Chinese market for the past three months and was even sold out during the first few rounds of sale.

Now, the Chinese telecommunication giant has officially announced that the Axon 20 5G will finally be heading to the global markets. According to ZTE, the listed countries below will be among the first to be available to purchase this highly anticipated handset:

  • United Kingdom
  • European Union

  • Philippines
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Ukraine
  • Saudi Arabia
  • South Africa

For those who’re interested, the ZTE Axon 20 5G is currently up for reservations on its official site with the first actual shipment commencing on December 21st. Sad to say, there still isn’t any information pertaining to its official pricing in the global market.

As a quick recap, the ZTE Axon 20 5G features an unblemished 6.92-inches OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. Its under-display selfie camera will be a 32 megapixels sensor.

On the flip-side, the ZTE Axon 20 comes with a rectangular camera housing which play host to a quad-cameras system alongside a LED flash. These cameras include a 64 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro shooter, as well as a 2 megapixels depth helper.

Under the hood, the ZTE Axon 20 is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage. Other than that, the device is also fitted with a respectable 4,220mAh battery that carries support for 30W fast-charging. As usual, it will run on the custom MiFavor 10.5 based on Android 10 OS.
