After making its official debut in the Chinese market earlier this month, the ZTE Axon 20 5G had already been sold out multiple times during its first few rounds of sale over the past couple of weeks.
Today, ZTE has announced that the Axon 20 5G was once again sold out shortly after it went on sale this morning. One of the main reasons for it’s persistently high demand probably owes to the fact that the device is the first in the world to feature an under screen selfie camera. This means there will be no unsightly notches or hole-punches on its front panel.
Despite being the first to adopt such innovative technology, the ZTE Axon 20 5G still comes with a pretty affordable and attractive price point.
In the Chinese market, the device is priced at 2,198 Yuan (US$322) and 2,498 Yuan (US$366) for its 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models. On top of that, there’s also an even higher-end model with 8GB+256GB memory configuration which will set you back with 2,798 Yuan (US$410).
As a quick recap, the ZTE Axon 20 5G arrives with an unblemished 6.92-inches OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution. Other than that, it also has a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate, an impressive 240Hz touch sampling rate, as well as support for an in-display fingerprint scanner.
On the flip-side, the ZTE Axon 20 comes with a rectangular camera housing which play host to a quad-cameras system alongside a LED flash. These cameras include a 64 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro shooter, as well as a 2 megapixels depth helper.
Under the hood, the ZTE Axon 20 is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
Finally, the device is also fitted with a respectable 4,220mAh battery that carries support for 30W fast-charging. As usual, it will run on the custom MiFavor 10.5 based on Android 10 OS.
