ZTE will be announcing the Axon 30 series of smartphones on April 15 in China. Reports have claimed that the lineup includes three models. A fresh promo by the brand confirms that one of the models will be hitting the Chinese market as the Axon 30 Ultra. The promo video has also confirmed the camera configurations of the upcoming Axon 30 Ultra.
ZTE has been teasing since a couple of days that its upcoming Axon 30 series flagship will have three 64-megapixel cameras and an auxiliary lens. Today, the Chinese brand confirmed that this setup will be available on the Axon 30 Ultra. It further revealed that the setup has a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 64-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 64-megapixel portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the main camera has an aperture rating of f/1.6, while the ultrawide lens offers a focal length of 13mm. The periscope zoom lens will offer a 123mm focal length and up to 5x optical. The four cameras together offer a megapixel count of 200.
The Axon 30 Ultra appears to be a flagship device. Hence, it is likely to feature the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. The SoC could be accompanied by LPDDR5 and UFS 3. 1 storage. It may carry support for 55W rapid charging. As far as display is concerned, it may feature a punch-hole screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate.
The other handsets in the series could be called Axon 30 and Axon 30 Pro. At present, there is no clear information available on their specifications.
