Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL Announced: Specifications, Features and Price

Google has finally announced the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL mid-range smartphones at the Google I/O 2018 event. They are cheaper versions of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL but appear more like spiritual successors of the Nexus series. Here is all the information on their specifications, features and pricing.

The Google Pixel 3a series comes with polycarbonate chassis. The Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch OLED full HD+ display that supports 2220 x 1080 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio whereas the Pixel 3a XL has a 6-inch full HD+ display that supports 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Both displays are protected by Dragon Trail glass.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL phones are blessed with 12.2-megapixel Sony IMX363 rear cameras with OIS and EIS. It carries support for 76-degree field of view, 4K video shooting and Night Scene mode. For capturing selfies, it has a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree field of view.

The Snapdragon 670 mobile platform fuels Pixel 3a series of smartphones with 4 GB of RAM. Both phones offer 64 GB of internal storage. The Pixel 3a has 3,000mAh battery whereas the Pixel 3a XL is packed with 3,700mAh battery. Both phones support 18W fast charging. They are loaded with Android 9 Pie OS and come with Titan M chip for security.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL phones are available in colors like Clearly White, Just Black and Purplish. In the U.S., these phones are respectively priced at $399 and $479. It will be also coming to other countries like Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and the UK.
