Android Rumors Leaked News Vivo

Vivo X100s leaks in full ahead of the May launch

Vivo is prepping up for the launch of its next flagship lineup. The upcoming X100s series is said to include three devices, X100s, X100s Pro, and X100s Ultra, according to a report by GSMArena. The publication has also shared real-life images of the Vivo X100s to provide the first glimpse of the phone.

This new leak confirms the previous assumption that the Vivo X100 will adopt a flat display design. The phone appears to have flat metal frames and rounded corners. This contrasts with the standard X100, which features curved sides.

The frames have textured finishes with antenna bands towards the edges. The right side houses the volume rocker and power button. There is nothing on the left side, which means the SIM card slot will be at the bottom together with the speaker and charging port. The phone will still maintain a sleek design, measuring just 7.89mm in thickness.

For the back, Vivo uses a 2.5D curved glass panel. The images reveal a massive circular ring housing the rear cameras. Vivo calls it the Moon Halo design, which is also available on the X100. The “Xtreme Imagination” branding, located just below, serves as a reminder to everyone that Vivo co-engineered the cameras with Zeiss.

Vivo X100s specifications, launch date (rumoured)

Under the hood, the Vivo X100s will be powered by the upcoming MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chip with higher-clocked Cortex-X4 cores (3.4GHz). The rest of the specifications are likely to remain identical to those of the Vivo X100, which debuted in November last year in China.

The camera setup of the Vivo X100s is expected to include a 50-megapixel IMX920 with VCS Bionic Spectrum and Zeis T* coating as the primary camera. Another 50-megapixel sensor for a wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom will join it. The phone will sport a 1.5K flat screen with minimum bezels. It will be available in four colorways: black, white, cyan, and titanium.

Vivo X100s and the rest of the lineup are expected to launch in May. It is said to cost around the same as the vanilla X100. Thus, it will start at around 3,999 Yuan in China. There is no clarity on whether the phone will be released in the global market.
