We’d already heard from earlier reports that the upcoming Huawei P20 and P20 Plus duo will be coming with a tri-camera setup on its rear chassis instead of the traditional dual-camera setup found in most of the current flagship phones.
Today, a couple of leaked renders of the Huawei P20 Lite casing had been leaked by consumer electronics giant Courts which revealed part of the device’s back design – more specifically its main camera compartment. Unlike its other siblings in the P20 series, it seems like the P20 Lite will be getting a dual-camera setup on its back, instead of a tri-camera setup. However, that isn’t really surprising since given that the P10 Lite also do not feature a dual-camera setup although its other siblings in the P10 series all come with it. However, we do have to bear in mind that the P20 Lite is likely to cost considerably lesser than the other phones in the P20 series as well. Before we missed out, the P20 Lite will also be featuring a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.
Other than the P20 Lite, you can also find a number of P20 renders in its listing. However, to our surprised, the Huawei P20 render here shows a dual-camera setup as well. Although we wouldn’t play down the possibility of that, but we do believe it is more likely to feature a tri-camera setup instead. The P20 renders listed on the website are intended to show only the rough designs of the device’s casing. The main take away here is that the P20 series is likely to sport a vertically-aligned camera sensors on its smartphones. Unlike the P20 Lite, it is also obvious that the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is absent on the P20 render.
As of now, there isn’t really much information on the P20 Lite as most of the focus seems to be on its P20 and P20 Plus siblings. One thing for sure is that the P20 Lite will definitely not be coming with all the attractive specs like the 40 megapixels main snappers, 24 megapixels selfie-cam, Kirin 970 SoC and so on.
According to earlier reports, the highly anticipated P20 series will most probably not be announced by Huawei during the upcoming MWC 2018 and is expected to be announced during a standalone launch event in March 27th.
