Sony has confirmed on their website that they will end their support for Playstation Mobile for Android starting today. While those holding on to a Playstation certified Android device running on Android 4.4.2 and below will still be able to use the app without any trouble, those that has been updated to Android 4.4.3 and above maybe unable to run the app smoothly anymore. As for the upcoming Android L, it’ll not be able to have any access to the app at all according to the FAQ section.
So far, Sony has yet to disclose the reason to end their support for PSM but its obvious that the Japanese company want to shift their focus to other more profitable niches like the Playstation Vita.
