Xiaomi Phone with 27W Charging 3C Approved; Is it Mi 9?

Rumors are rife that Xiaomi may announce its Mi series flagship phone earlier this year compared to last year. Earlier this month, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will be equipped with faster rapid charging technology. Today, a mysterious Xiaomi phone (M1902F1A / M1902F1T) has been approved by 3C body in China. The charger provided along with the smartphone carries support for 27W rapid charging. Hence, the newly found device on 3C database could be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship smartphone.

The M1902F1A / M1902F1T 3C listing shows that it will be equipped with MDY-08-ES charger that offers a maximum charger rate of 27W. This indicates that the M1902F1A / M1902F1T could be a high-end or a flagship phone.

Xiaomi’s top employees like President, CEO and Product Director are also teasing the Feb. 19 event. Probably, the company has a launch event scheduled for the said date, but there is no official confirmation on it yet. Speculations are rife that Xiaomi may debut the Mi 9 flagship phone. Rumors are rife that the Mi 9 will be arriving with an in-screen fingerprint reader and it will be featuring a triple camera setup on its rear. Previous reports have claimed that the Snapdragon 855 powered Mi 9 will have a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and its triple camera setup will include 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, 12-megapixel sensor and a 3D ToF stereo lens. Other rumored features of the phone include 24-megapixel selfie shooter and 3,500mAh battery.
