For the past couple of weeks, there have been many reports about the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 handset which is expected to be made official by the end of the year. This highly anticipated smartphone is slated to be one of the few mid-ranger in the market to features an 18:9 widescreen display which perhaps explains all the hype we have for this handset.
Even though the Redmi Note 5 has yet to be announced, but we’re already pretty familiar with its design thanks to the numerous spy shots of the device which we’d been treated to recently. Right now, the same device has been caught in yet another leaked image which reveals its entire front panel. Compared to the current Redmi Note 4, the soon to be announced Redmi Note 5 indeed comes with a brand new design language this time round. The most obvious change in no doubt its trimmed down bezel that gives the device a more premium-looking design.

As for its specs, the Redmi Note 5 is expected to features a 5.99-inches display which boast a FHD+ screen resolution. Other than that, the device is also touted to come with a 18:9 screen aspect ratio with FHD+ display resolution. Other key specs that accompany the device include a purported Snapdragon 625/ 630 SoC, 3GB/ 4GB of RAM, 32GB/ 64GB internal storage space, 12 megapixel main snapper, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, as well as a 4,000mAh power plant.
Release Date & Pricing
Although it was initially rumored that the Redmi Note 5 would be made official on November 11th, but sad to say that didn’t happened. Right now, there is no specific dates on when this device could make its official debut but the current speculations remain steadfast that the device will be announced by the end of the year. For those interested, the device is expected to come with an affordable sub-1000 Yuan ($151) price tag.
