Android One smartphones have always featured modest specs, but allowed users to enjoy regular Android updates. The all new Mi A1 Android One smartphone that is a product born through the marriage of Xiaomi and Google marks the arrival of high-end Android One phones.
Xiaomi Mi A1 Design and Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi A1 is the same Mi 5X smartphone that was released in China last month. The smartphone with new moniker sports the same metal unibody design available on the Mi 5X. It comes in colors like Black, Gold and Rose Gold.
The 5.5-inch display of the Mi A1 supports full HD resolution and the screen is protected by Coring Gorilla Glass. The Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4 GB of RAM are present under the hood of the phone. It comes with 64 GB of storage and it also features a microSD card slot. The smartphone is powered by 3,080mAh battery that offers fast charging capabilities.
Xiaomi Mi A1 Cameras and Software
Dubbed as ”dual flagship cameras,” the rear camera system includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The two sensors can help in shooting impressive bokeh effect shots. The frontside features a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.
Like other Android One phones, the Mi A1 offers stock Android experience which means it does not feature MIUI 9 skin. The smartphone also unlimited storage on Google Photos.
Xiaomi Mi A1 Pricing and Release Date
The Mi A1 is priced at Rs. 14,999 (~$235) in India and it will on sale from Sept. 12. It will be available in multiple countries across the globe as shown in the image above.
