Huawei has recently introduced the P20 and P20 Pro flagship phones. These smartphones are fueled by the same Kirin 970 chipset that is present under the hood of the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones that were launched in October. It is speculated that the Mate 20 will be driven by the more powerful Kirin 980 SoC. Today, the AnTuTu listing of the upcoming Mate 20 smartphones. It is the first smartphone to breach the 300k by scoring 356,918.
The listing of Mate 20 at AnTuTu has only revealed its benchmark scores and does not contain any details on its specs. According to leaked information that appeared during the weekend, the Kirin 980 chipset is being built through TSMC’s 7nm chipset manufacturing process. As of this writing, there is no information available on its configuration, but it speculated to feature Cortex A75 cores and a powerful GPU. The SoC is expected to bring Bluetooth 5.0 functionality on phones that are powered by it. Also, it is pegged to arrive with second-generation version of NPU unit for handling AI tasks.
Since Huawei has already launched the Mate RS Porsche Design with under-display fingerprint scanner, it is speculated that the Mate 20 will feature it. The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are expected to debut in October this year.
