Recently, we’d heard a great deal about the upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro through various official teasers as well as unofficial leaks. So far, we had learned that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be an affordable gaming-centric smartphone which will be powered by the latest Mediatek Helio G90T and will feature an independent liquid cooling system under the hood.
This device, which had achieved an impressive score of 281,033 points on AnTuTu, will also be the first smartphone in the world to debut with the 64 megapixels Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor.
Today, Xiaomi has finally brought us some information on it’s Redmi Note 8 sibling as well. Apparently, the Redmi Note 8 will be driven by the Snapdragon 665 SoC instead of the Helio G90 processor which was initially rumored.
Although performance-wise, the Snapdragon 665 trails slightly behind the Note 8 Pro’s Helio G90T SoC (according to benchmark test), but it’s still one of the best and widely used mid-ranger SoC in the market. In fact, this is the same chip which is found in the Xiaomi Mi CC9e.
Along with that, the new teaser released by Xiaomi had also revealed that the Redmi Note 8 will be arriving with a quad-camera setup. Sad to say, we’re still unsure if the Redmi Note 8 will arrive with the 64MP sensor found in the Pro version.
Even though we’re still four days away from it’s August 29th launch date, but the Redmi Note 8 series had already achieved more than one million registrations of interest.
