After bringing the Huawei Y6 (2019) and Y6 Pro (2019) to the market earlier this year, Huawei is now on the way to introduce the “S” variant of the device dubbed as Y6s. Internally, this device is said to carry the code name “Jakarta”.
As seen from the render above, this device shares a close resemblance to the current Y6 (2019) in terms of design. The main differences between the two devices however, lie in their rear panel.
Unlike the Y6 Pro, the upcoming Y6s will sport a two-tone finishing on it’s back panel – akin to what we’d seen on the refreshed P30 Pro variants. Similarly, there is also an obvious redesign towards it’s camera module as well.
Moving on to it’s specs, the Huawei Y6s is said to come with a 6.1-inch display and will arrive with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage under the hood. It’s single-camera on the rear is also rumored to feature a 13 megapixels sensor.
Besides the Huawei Y6s, Huawei is also currently prepping an upper mid-ranger smartphone known as the Nova 6 which will debuts on December 5th. Needless to say, most of the attention will be placed on the latter handset but its definitely good to see new phones being introduced to Huawei’s portfolio regularly.
